Our Mission
In this season, our mission here at HUGMORE Writers is to live life on purpose. We fully intend to spread a little laughter around as it is one of our favorite things in the world. With a heightened sense of urgency, we are about the business of gathering and retelling the humorous and not so funny stories, recounting and recording the fondest memories, and sharing the most valuable lessons. In this season, life appears to be transforming into that of a "Goal Digger".

Karen Haynes was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the offspring of two transplants from Georgia. At the age of 38, after a failed marriage and the birthin' of two babies, she earned an Associates in Business degree from her local community college. That was the same year her firstborn graduated from high school.
Having been diagnosed with a progressive bone & joint deformity, her mobility began to decline. Eventually, she was forced into retirement in the prime of her life. Simple things, like standing and walking had become extremely painful. One day, she realized just how sick and tired she was of sitting and watching her life go past.
Now, she’s not only on a mission to take her life back, but she hopes that sharing her journey will encourage others to not just accept the limitations life hands us. Go around. She’s learned that healing and restoration begin in the mind.
